“My daughter has been going to Shen-Paco for over 7 years. She is non verbal. When I wake her up in the mornings, I give her a choice of staying home or going to the day program. She jumps out of her bed to go. I love all the caregivers there. I call them my angels. If they notice anything going on with her, they call me immediately. I never worry about her when they have her. They are truly a blessing to my family.”

“The Shen-Paco employees are always reliable, courteous, friendly and respectful while in our building cleaning. They are mindful of others working at their desks and quietly clean office to office. Throughout our construction phase, which was hectic, they did a fantastic job in helping to maintain a clean environment and even cleaned the baseboards. The Circuit Court is not a new building, but it is clean thanks to the Shen-Paco employees.”

"My name is Alexis McClung (Lexi). I have been with Shen-Paco since August 2024. I am the Community Engagement Activity Coordinator at our Page County facility. I enjoy taking our clients out in our community to volunteer and do things of their choice! I also work at our Stanley group home on weekends. It is very rewarding to work in both places and in different settings. This is the most rewarding job I’ve had and I am grateful to be around to support all of our clients smiling faces!"

“My daughter was in the first group of youth to attend this day program. There was a group of kids who were soon to graduate out of the public school system and there was no place in our area for them to go to continue their routines they desperately needed. Shen-Paco stepped up and created the Day Support Program for our kids. It is a protective, self contained classroom setting ran within Shen-Paco. My girl has thrived with the support and love given to her by the individuals who operate this program. Day Support staff work hard to help her maintain the skills she has previously learned while creating a fun and stimulating atmosphere. They take day trips into the community. Sometimes they will send me pictures from their trips. My girl is always smiling. Shen-Paco is very professional in carrying out their duties. They follow a specified plan of care for each individual. They are focused on health and safety for each of their clients. I believe they love their clients and love what they do. I feel very comfortable entrusting my precious child (now an adult child) into their care.”

Over that time, it has become so much more than a program, it’s become a second home, a community, and a place where Jeff is truly understood, supported and loved. The staff at Shen-Paco have shown unwavering compassion and commitment to Jeff, helping him grow, thrive, and live with dignity and purpose. He has built lasting friendships, learned valuable skills, and most importantly, found a place where he belongs. After the passing of our mother (a deeply emotional time), Jeff looked at me and said “I’m ready to go home”. And by home, he meant Shen-Paco. That moment said everything. It showed how much Shen-Paco means to him, and how deeply he feels connected and safe there. For our entire family, knowing Jeff is in such caring hands has brought us great peace. Shen-Paco has been a constant in his life, a source of comfort and consistency for nearly five decades. We are forever grateful for the incredible work they do, not just for Jeff, but for so many adults with disabilities and their families.”
